What a way to end this year’s Iowa high school track season!

Between our two Bar Raising Fitness facilities in Dubuque and Dyersville, we had 40 of our athletes qualify for the Iowa State Track and Field Meet. This alone is a huge accomplishment for the athletes, our team, and the local community. So much time, energy, and preparation went into this season; that it’s amazing to see all that hard work and dedication pay off.
Many of those 40 athletes qualified in multiple events, including 16 athletes who qualified in the max number of events, which is four.
In total, our athletes qualified for over 115 events! Pretty unbelievable!
But it gets even better.
Not only did our athletes earn the opportunity to compete at the State Meet, they also went ready to perform. And that they did!

49 top 5 finishes.
8 gold medals.
16 silver medals.
13 bronze medals.
And 5 of our athletes helped their school win their first ever Team State Championship.
Talk about performing when it mattered most!
As impressive as the medals and podium finishes were, we also had multiple athletes break school records and many achieve personal bests. These accomplishments are huge victories as well and represent the work these athletes put in throughout the season.
Along with the athletes, we are also incredibly proud of our team and the impact they continue to make each day.
The work our team puts into providing the best training experience possible often goes unnoticed. From the sessions themselves, where they bring full energy, focus, and attention to every client, to the early mornings and late nights spent training during the hours that fit each client’s schedule, and the preparation, programming, and planning that happens behind the scenes.
Their commitment to helping their clients reach their goals continues to make a difference both on and off the track.
Lastly, we want to give a shoutout to the athletes’ parents, coaches, schools, teammates, and other supporters who continue to invest into their development.
Congratulations to all our track athletes, their schools, and their trainers on an amazing season!
